The first phase of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s service kicked off with the opening of branched at some of Brazil’s major airports in cities including: Brasilia, Porto, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Salvador.

The subsidiary promised in a release that the locations will meet the demands of clients seeking to access a diverse fleet of vehicles. In fact, Smith guaranteed that “…we’ll make sure customers get to their destination with personalised attention and an unparalleled, seamless experience”.

Enterprise Holdings’ history with Brazil

In 2012 Enterprise Holdings entered a franchise partnered with Brazilian car rental operator and fleet management company Unidas for the management of its brands National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car.

Four years later, the parent company strengthened it ties with its partners, making a “strategic investment” by purchasing 20 per cent stake in the company. With the transaction Enterprise Holdings earned a seat on the Unidas’s board of directors.

For financial year 2018/19, Enterprise Holdings Inc, with its subsidiaries, reported a combined revenue of US$25.9 billion.
