Starbucks entered yet another regional market with the opening of its first store in Turks and Caicos yesterday.

The Turks and Caicos store, located on the Grand Turk Cruise Port, was spearheaded by Caribbean Coffee Traders  Limited (CCTL), a consortium led by Margaritaville Caribbean Group, which holds exclusive rights to operate Starbucks in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

The move represents the 81st market for the global chain and the 20th in Latin America and the Caribbean region.

“This milestone demonstrates our commitment and enthusiasm for the region and our optimism for the opportunities ahead. We are excited to become the island’s hub for coffee, connection and community,” said Ian Dear, Chairman of the Margaritaville Caribbean Group.
