Microsoft has released a version of their Edge browser for Xbox consoles. Microsoft hopes a smarter, snappier browser might change how users feel about accessing the web on their consoles.
Developers have struggled to find a solution to using a controller to move the cursor or type. The company’s flagship browser is available on Xbox One and Series X/S consoles, but only to members of the invite-only Alpha Skip-Ahead group. With this move, Microsoft’s consoles will be set apart from the PlayStation 5, which does not currently offer a web browser of any kind.
