Jamaica Energy Partners (JEP) and its affiliate company, West Kingston Power Partners (WKPP), provided free dental care for some 260 residents in Old Harbour, St Catherine, and West Kingston last month.

The independent power providers hosted the first dental clinic on November 22 in Old Harbour Bay and the second a week later, on November 29, in the West Kingston area, offering complimentary dental examinations, cleaning and extractions.

According to Moya-Mae Rose, public relations and digital marketing specialist at Jamaica Energy Partners, “JEP and WKPP have been serving the dental needs of these communities for the past five years. We continue to champion the cause of promoting the importance of good oral hygiene and overall, how to lead a healthier lifestyle.”

She pointed out that the organisations could not have executed the initiatives without the help of sponsors. Rose, therefore, thanked Arm & Hammer, Servi-Care Limited and Lasco Distributors for donating toothbrush and toothpaste kits to the residents.

“Arm & Hammer was present at both fairs where they sensitized the residents about their baking soda-based products and conducted a DIY session on how to use the household must-have,” Rose added.

JEP and WKPP aim to offer free dental services to the residents of Old Harbour Bay and Western Kingston at least twice per year. The energy providers held the first health and wellness fairs in June and August this year.
