The year got off to a memorable start for one lucky person who bought the winning Super Lotto ticket in Jamaica.
Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) said the final draw for the 2019 jackpot of J$254 million was hit by someone who purchased a J$200 ticket in Spanish Town, St Catherine in the country.
The winning ticket means the holder is entitled to J$152.4 million of the total pot. Had they purchased a J$300 ticket, they would have been able to claim the entire jackpot.
According to SVL, the winning numbers were 05, 06, 07, 19, 20 and the super ball number being 04.
The win is the second of the regional lottery in 2019, with the first winner coming from Barbados. That person received J$283.5 million or its Barbadian equivalent, $4.37 million.
The winner has 90 days to come forward with the winning ticket to claim the multi-million jackpot.
Super Lotto is sold simultaneously in several Caribbean nations including Jamaica, Barbados, St Kitts-Nevis, Anguilla, Antigua and St Maarten.
