Business process outsourcing company itelbpo received the 2019 Growth Excellence Leadership Award for Latin America and the Caribbean from the respected Frost & Sullivan firm.
The award marked the second in as many years for itelbpo from the leading global consulting company.
A Jamaican company founded in 2012, itelbpo demonstrated “…how to achieve rapid growth and success, leveraging technology and human capital,” said Frost & Sullivan in a statement today. It added the itelbpo copped the award, after much research by its analysts and consultants, for showcasing consistency in growth excellence throughout the year as a contact center providing outsourcing services.
itelbpo was also recipient of the award for the region last year.
The company’s chief executive officer, Yoni Epstein, said “itelbpo has streamlined its success across multiple verticals and channels. We started off with seven employees seven years ago and have managed to increase our global footprint to some 2,700 plus employees since. The growth has been tremendous and we’re truly honored and grateful for the recognition from Frost & Sullivan.”
The company is currently in expansion mode with developments at its Kingston and Montego Bay locations in Jamaica and its Monterrey, Mexico site.
itelbpo’s growth comes amid the signing of new clients which has created some 1,000 employment opportunities for people in those areas.
The company recently sold Pan Jam Investment Limited and Portland Private Equity 15 per cent of its stake each.
Regarding that development, Epstein told Caribbean Business Report that the capital injection will be used to “expand (itelbpo’s footprint) in Kingston, Jamaica as well as in the Eastern Caribbean in 2020.”
