Come next month, low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines will add two new non-stop routes from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and St Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
“We’re thrilled to continue our exceptional growth at Miami’s convenient airport with new non-stop flights to Punta Cana and St Thomas starting right in time for spring break travel,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice-president of commercial, Frontier Airlines.
On March 7, Frontier will commission its twice-weekly service between MIA and Cyril E King Airport, St Thomas.
A day after, the airline will kick-start a similar arrangement from MIA to Punta Cana international Airport in the Dominican Republic.
“These new flights will offer unparalleled affordability and access between Miami and two beautiful destinations in the Caribbean. Additionally, the flights will maintain Frontier’s high health standards, including required mask wearing, temperature screenings and enhanced onboard cleaning,” Shurz commented.
The addition of the new routes from MIA will complement the company’s services from Orlando International Airport to the Caribbean destinations, which will commence this month — on February 11 for Punta Cana and February 19 for St Thomas.
In November last year, Frontier had also announced the launch of a new service from Orlando International Airport to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
“Frontier is focused on more than low fares. The carrier offers customers the ability to customise travel to their needs and budget. For example, customers can purchase options a la carte or in one low-priced bundle called the WORKS. This bundle includes refundability, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, the best available seat, waived change fees, and priority boarding,” a release from the company outlined.
