Low cost carrier Frontier Airlines is boasting of adding more new flights to the Caribbean than any other airline.

Frontier has been flying more Caribbean routes than any other carrier since the pandemic. The fast-expanding carrier is adding another new route to one of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations — Montego Bay, Jamaica.s

Beginning December 17, the low-cost carrier will kick off three weekly flights from Newark Liberty International Airport to Montego Bay. This new route is part of a growing wave of new airlift to the island, which is seeing a full-fledged tourism recovery after first reopening in June of last year. That includes new flights on the way from carriers like Virgin Atlantic and American Airlines, with the latter set to launch its first-ever service from Philadelphia to Kingston in the first week of November.

Jamaica is also getting new flights from Atlanta to Montego Bay, set to kick off in November.

Frontier launched its first-ever Miami-Jamaica flights in May 2021. Since the reopening of the tourism sector, Jamaica has successfully wooed several airlines to return to the destination along with increasing seat numbers to the destination.
