Following the opening of the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana resort complex on December 2, 2019, Playa Hotels & Resorts Chairman Bruce Wardinski hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the all-inclusive complex on December 12, 2019.
Among those attending the ceremony were President of the Dominican Republic Danilo Medina, Minister of Environment Ángel Estévez, Minister of Tourism Francisco Javier García, and Cap Cana Shareholders Council executives Abraham and Ricardo Hazoury.
According to Wardinski, “Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana represent the best minds in the business, the best facilities available, the most modern of technology and, most importantly, the legendary hospitality of the Dominican Republic.”
He added: “This is the result of true partnership. From the president and ministry’s support, to the Hazoury family’s ongoing support of Playa’s vision to transform what all-inclusive means, to the arrival of the legendary Hyatt standard in the Dominican Republic.”
Located on a 40-acre beachfront property on Juanillo Beach, the 375-room Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and 375-room Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana resorts marks Hyatt’s entry into the Dominican Republic.
