Ann-Dawn Young Sang has resigned as President and CEO of Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) the company said.
The resignation became effective March 20, 2020, two and a half years after the executive took over the reins at the gaming and entertainment provider.
In a release to the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) today, March 24, SVL said “On behalf of the Board of Directors, we use this opportunity to express our gratitude to Mrs Young Sang for her steadfast leadership and contribution to the growth of the Group over the past 2 ½ years.”
Young Sang is a certified public accountant and served as the Regional Vice President-Caribbean at IGT, a subsidiary of International Game Technology PLC, prior to her stint at Supreme Ventures.
She joined the SVL team as the company’s first female CEO in August 2017, following the passing of former president and CEO, Brian George.
Meanwhile, SVL announced that Gary Peart was appointed Executive Chairman of the company effective yesterday, March 23. Peart was previously appointed Chairman of SVL in June 2019.
He is the CEO of Mayberry Investments and has more than two decades’ experience in the financial sector. He is a director of the JSE and also serves on the boards of several companies including Lasco Distributors and Lasco Financial Services.
