Market capitalisation for the Barbados Stock Exchange market moved past the BD$8-billion mark earlier this month, buttressed by cross-listed stocks and the exchange’s largest listed company, First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB).
The BSE has 18 listed equities listed and has gained around DSD $1 billion in value since the beginning of 2019.
FCIB was valued at BD$4.42 billion by market capitalisation and the stock trades at BD$2.80 per unit.
The second-largest company listed by market cap is Sagicor Financial Corporation, which is valued approximately BD$900 million. The stock trades at around BD$3.00.

There are 16 companies listed on the local market of the BSE with total market capitalisation of BD$7.14 billion.
Among the cross-listed stocks are two companies — JMMB Group Limited and One Caribbean Media — which together add market capitalisation of BD$945 million.
JMMB Group trades at BD$0.47 cents with a market cap of BD$766.35 million. One Caribbean Media trades at BD$2.70 per unit with a market capitalisation of BD$178.78 million.
